I cannot stop worrying. About everything! I’m such a weirdo. I constantly over-analyse every minor decision I have to make and freak out about all the possible (usually negative) consequences I can think of.
I end up spending sleepless nights lying there stressing about what I need to do, what I haven’t done and why I haven’t done it. I worried about not having enough folders for every subject I am taking at school from September onwards, constantly making lists in my head of what I need to do or get.
Whinge, whinge.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1190428/Bling-buy-sale-The-latest-trend-hard-middle-classes-gold-parties-women-swap-treasures-cash.html
Reading this article kind of disturbed me.
So, a gold party. What is it? According to the article, people gather for a private event to have their gold valued and bought by a gold trader. Why? Apparently they need extra cash for gymnastics classes, school fees and “busy family lives.” Fine, but I’m sure they could cut down on things much less important and precious than family heirlooms—they’re selling their mothers’ wedding rings, grandmothers’ lockets and jewellery.
Backtrack a bit. Oh look;
I’m sitting in the living room of a friend’s cottage in Surrey, and through the window I can see an impressive range of 4×4s lined up on the drive.
Hmm. What exactly do they need 4×4s for, apart from driving to and from work and chauffering their children around? I highly doubt those gas guzzling 4×4s are necessary anyway. Buy a smaller car, maybe a hybrid or something, that still suits needs. Do they spend their time driving around rugged roads and farms? Unlikely. Heirlooms can never be replaced. 4×4s can.
Gold will always be valuable. It should be kept for a REAL emergency, not for when you can’t afford to drive around in a 4×4 or shop at Waitrose.
